About SOP — Standard Operating Procedures
I’m a fan of SOPs. I had SOPs before even knowing what SOPs are. Back in the day when I had my first business, I made so many spreadsheets and Google Docs (early adopter) all by myself and instructed others how to do it.
Later on, I learned that, essentially, SOPs are what differentiates a successful business from the rest. So I’ve become even more obsessed with them.
Discovering Asana was a game changer. I’ve standardized all my life into procedures (even the morning and night prayers) and turned them into tasks (I did it as an exercise, it’s not humanly possible to complete all the tasks I’ve assigned myself). You also get unicorns and rainbows when you complete tasks so that helps with getting stuff done.
I’ve signed up for a course yesterday about SOP by John D. Saunders. It’s been on my list for a while (probably close to two years) and randomly (it’s not like I don’t have anything else to do) I registered yesterday.
Well worth it. It was shorter than I expected and since I’ve been following John for a while on social media, I kind of like knew the stuff he shared.
Nevertheless, I’ve started working on my own documents (even more) and taking inspiration from his templates. Good stuff.
