It sounds better in my native language. A close translation would be “the year doesn't bring what an hour brings”. Even more explicit translation and explanation could be: you can accomplish so much in such little time, but so many could happen in a short period.
You take a long course and read a big book. It takes several months for it/them to finish/complete. Often, they happen at the same time.
That happened to me recently.
I was enrolled in a course on SEMRush’s website. I did the first lesson in September (as soon as it was released). Then I did a lesson whenever I had time. I really enjoyed it and got a lot of insightful information from it. I highly recommend it, even if you have some sort of experience in the field.
Also, in December, I started reading The Art Of SEO — the Bible for the SEO practitioner/student (as I like myself to think of as). At its third edition, this is a must-read, not just by SEO’s but by anyone involved in the marketing field.
I finished both the course and the book this Friday (March 7, 2019)
